SHEILA ALLEN

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Mrs. Sheila Allen on Friday 15th November 2013. She was a familiar face in so many of her husband Irwin Allen's productions and a dear friend and supporter of our work.

Sheila is probably most well known for her starring role as Paula Ramsey in The Towering Inferno and for Irwin Allen television viewers, her many guest appearances in shows like Lost in Space and Land of the Giants.

Since Irwin Allen passed away in 1991, Sheila has endevoured to keep his legacy going and in 1995, appeared in the marvellous documentary The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen, paying homage to her late husband. She was also instrumental in bringing Lost in Space to the big screen in 1998, and was a hugely popular guest at the Return to Earth convention in Los Angeles that same year.

Our greatest personal memory of Sheila was her fun loving nature, and she was wonderful company whenever we visited with her. Sometime we will share one or two of our personal photos from those very happy times.
